A stock market game inside a multiplayer business game
Every company in BusinessTycoons is listed on the stock exchange, and the companies are run by the other players in the round. You can buy into the companies you believe in, collect their dividends and climb the stock ranking alongside running your own business.
Every company has 50 shares
Each company starts with its 50 shares held by its owner, who can put them up for sale. You may buy five shares a day, one of each company, and own at most two of any company, your own included, so no single player can corner a company. Shares you no longer want can be sold back to the bank.
Dividends every Sunday
A tenth of every sale a company makes goes into its stockpile, and every Sunday the shareholders are paid out of it. Owning shares in companies that sell a lot pays.
Risk
Shares in a company whose owner has been away for days are marked as risky, and the bank pays less for them. Picking the active, growing companies is part of the game.
The stock ranking
Dividends and the profit on shares you sell to other players earn stock points, and the stock ranking has its own leader each round, shown on the front page next to the company leader.
