BusinessTycoons

A multiplayer economy game with one shared market

In BusinessTycoons there is one market for every player in the round. Each midnight its prices move with how much of each good everyone made that day, so the economy is built by the players themselves.

Market prices for every good over the last three days

Prices set by supply and demand

Each midnight the market price of every good moves with what players have bought and sold. A good nobody makes gets dearer; a good everyone makes gets cheaper. Spotting the gap is how fortunes are made.

Your place in the economy

Supply raw goods to the players who refine them, buy cheap inputs for your own factories, or sell finished goods straight to the public in your own shops.

Cities and transport

A round is played on one country with several cities, each with its own population and companies. Your company works from one city but can trade with all of them, and vehicles earn money carrying cargo between cities.

Services and money

Offices sell services such as web design and advertising. The bank lends money, and shares let players invest in each other.

Questions

Who sets the prices?
The players do. Prices move every midnight with supply and demand on the market everyone shares.
Can I trade with players in other cities?
Yes. The market is shared by the whole round, and vehicles carry cargo between cities.
Can I play without running factories?
Partly. You can trade goods, run shops and offices, or invest in shares, but most companies grow by producing.
